Artist Spotlight: Meet T0N3 – The Rising Voice Bridging Sounds from Jersey to Chicago

From the streets of Passaic, New Jersey, to the buzzing music scene of Chicago, T0N3(pronounced "Tone") — is carving a unique path in the world of hip-hop and beyond. His story is one of movement, growth, and fearless musical experimentation.

Growing up between North Jersey and New York, T0N3 was surrounded by creativity. “At first it started as just seeing the older guys I grew up with, including family, make music. I always felt like I could do it too,” he says. Influenced heavily by legends like Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Eminem, and especially Lil Wayne during the mixtape era, T0N3's early passion for lyricism was born from the classics but fueled by the raw grind of street tapes.

Now based in Chicago, T0N3 is deeply rooted in the city’s music culture, working to establish himself alongside some of its biggest names. “I’m trying to reach the whole world,” he says — and his sound speaks to that ambition. Drawing from a diverse palette of genres, T0N3 refuses to be boxed in. “I experiment from hip-hop, trap, storytelling, and melodic pop rap. I try to stand out and let my music speak for itself,” he explains.

His lyrics reflect this variety and introspection. A standout bar?

Never let ’em catch me out my pocket like some loose change / I’m riding round the city bumping Wu-Tang & switch it when the mood change / my playlist like a mood ring.”
That line alone tells you everything you need to know about Tone’s style: sharp, nostalgic, and deeply personal.

But T0N3’s mission is bigger than music. He wants to build a platform to uplift other artists who are chasing the same dream. “I’ve seen the dark side of this industry,” he shares. “I plan on getting to that point where I can help others.” His résumé already includes opening for major acts like Polo G, VonOff1700, Skrilla, Skilla Baby, MafTeeski, and BabyChiefDoit, and he’s even worked with Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade — with more to come.

As he gears up for his next releases, T0N3 is focused on connection and consistency. “I want to promote me as an artist but also as a regular person. I’m breaking the ‘too cool to interact’ trend. I want to be transparent and open with my supporters.” With avault of new music he plans to drop every other week, a music video set for release at the end of July, and shows booked across three states, his presence is only growing.
