Hailing from Shelby, North Carolina, the musician blends personal pain with poetic lyricism, creating music that resonates deeply with listeners. With a new single dropping soon and major collaborations on the horizon, King Paso is an artist to watch.

From Musical Roots to Recording Artist

Growing up in a musically inclined family, King Paso was surrounded by instruments and voices harmonizing long before he stepped into the studio. However, it wasn’t until age 19 that he began recording, quickly developing a passion for crafting his own sound.

"My family is pretty musically inclined, so I’ve always been around instruments or just somebody singing," he shares. "But I started actually recording when I was 19 and just grew a passion for it."

Standing Out Through Emotion

In an era where emotional rap and pain-filled lyrics dominate, King Paso believes his authenticity sets him apart.

"I know there’s a lot of pain music out there today, but it’s something about the way I articulate my pain that just hits different," he explains.

One of his favorite lyrics reflects this vulnerability and personal triumph:
“My granny up in heaven prolly bragging on me right now. The way a n**a shining, know she smiling on me right now.”*

More Than Money: A Mission to Make a Difference

While financial success was once his primary goal, King Paso’s perspective has evolved.

"My plan was to get all the money in the world," he admits. "But as time passed, I truly just wanna make a difference any way I can."

New Single “Built Like Me” Dropping Soon

Fans won’t have to wait long for new music. King Paso is set to drop his latest single, "Built Like Me," on April 27th. Teasing a shift in his usual style, he describes it as "a different type of track coming from me, but different is cool."

Adding to the excitement, the remix will feature a major Miami-based artist, though details are still under wraps.
