Houston-based rapper Mo J. Simpson is carving out a unique space in the music scene with his blend of "car, weed, and motivational music" infused with positive messages and relatable narratives. The emerging artist, who recently began his rapping journey, aims to connect with everyday individuals and ambitious "players" striving for success.
"People should listen to me because I got bars and a message that anybody can receive," says Mo J. Simpson. "I speak for the average Joe and I speak for the true players in the game that's tryna stack change and maintain."
While still in the early stages of his career, Mo J. Simpson finds his current reward in the belief shown by his friends and fans. His biggest challenge thus far has been balancing his burgeoning music career with his responsibilities as a father. "Finding time for jr. Everything else is easy, trying to find that balance so my baby don’t feel alone been eating at me," he admits.
