Meet Aubrey Rashad: The Sparkle City Voice Redefining Southern RnB

Emerging from the heart of Spartanburg, South Carolina—affectionately known as “Sparkle City”—Aubrey Rashad is a rising musical force grounded in love, purpose, and undeniable soul. From an early age, Rashad found a deep connection to music in the most nostalgic way.

“When I was small, my parents got me the original Space Jam movie—the one with Michael Jordan,” he recalls. “At the end, ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ by R. Kelly played. I learned every word after the third watch. That’s when I realized I could sing—and that was the very moment I fell in love with music.”

That childlike wonder and emotional connection to music has followed Rashad into his artistic career today, shaping a sound that’s both heartfelt and honest. “The heart and soul I carry is what makes me different,” he explains. “I show that in my music. Instead of promoting violence, I promote love.”

It's a message that resonates in lyrics like: “I wanna teach you how to love, I made the honor roll.” Simple, yet striking—this line captures Rashad’s essence: poetic, pure, and purpose-driven.

But music isn’t just a passion; it’s a mission. “My main goal is to make a living doing what I love most,” he shares. “My secondary goal is to make it and show the ones I love that anyone can achieve their dreams.”

With that dream in motion, Aubrey Rashad has several exciting projects on the horizon. Up next: a visually rich and cinematic music video for his latest single, “Slide, Pull Up.” But that’s just the beginning. He’s also finalizing an EP titled “The Toxicity Of It All,” and preparing the release of his next full-length album, “Love Story 2.”

Authentic, visionary, and grounded in love—Aubrey Rashad is a name you’ll want to remember.
