“Kanye West was a huge influence on me growing up,” Reuben shares. “I feel like we had a lot in common, especially when it came to breaking boundaries and expressing ourselves in new ways. Over time, I began making beats and recording my own music, and the rest just followed.”

By the time he was in high school, Reuben had honed his skills in production and recording, starting with just the basics. “I remember my dad made me a computer from scratch, which he gifted me one Christmas,” he says. “Before I had a laptop, I was using that cardboard-box computer and a microphone I bought with my lunch money, and that’s when I started creating my first projects.”

From these humble beginnings, Reuben went on to produce five albums, gaining respect within the local music scene and building a fan base that continues to support him. His sound evolved with his life experiences—despair, heartbreak, and triumph—which he’s now able to translate into music that resonates with listeners on a personal level.
